About the Role

We are seeking an experienced End to End Performance and Quality Lead to drive resilience and integrated quality across complex, business-critical software solutions. You will lead the design, execution, and optimisation of strategies that ensure performant, scalable, reliable, and seamless end-to-end customer experiences.

This role requires a mix of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to establish robust validation frameworks and deliver solutions that perform under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end performance and quality strategy (speed, responsiveness, stability, scalability, load, and stress).
  • Lead end-to-end testing efforts across multiple integrated systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and DevOps to ensure performance is built into solutions from the ground up.
  • Select, implement, and optimise testing tools, frameworks, and automation.
  • Develop performance benchmarks, KPIs, and reporting dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, promoting best practices in test design and execution.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of performance bottlenecks and recommend optimisations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and security standards throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Assist in troubleshooting performance or load issues, then triage through a defect process to ensure timely resolution.
  • Identify environment needs to enable end to end performance.
  • Apply strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills under pressure.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record (7+ years) in End to End Performance and Quality validation and optimization within the application and cloud native tachnologies. .
  • Strong experience with end-to-end testing across enterprise-scale or SaaS applications.
  • Hands-on expertise with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Locust).
  • Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven experience in problem management and operational resilience.
  • Familiarity with modern performance engineering analytical tools and APM practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to work effectively across functions and with customers.
  • Strong leadership traits – decisive, calm under pressure, and ready to step into a formal leadership role.
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making and strong aptitude to get beyond resolution to the root cause of prevention
  • Experience in leveraging AI tools to optimize and improve.

Desirable

  • Previous experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
  • Exposure to Applications Resilience, DevOps/SRE frameworks (eg. SLA, SLOs, error budgets)
  • Certifications in performance engineering and tuning
  • Recognized for determination, persistence, tenacity and relentless pursuit to continuously improve.
